Today Cole had his 2nd T-Ball game! This was actually out first game to watch! We were out of town last weekend, so Papa took him. It was an 8am game! Good lord was it hard getting all of us out the door on time. We actually were thankful it was early since the weather is so hot right now. Cole did a fabulous job! He played first base one inning. he tries to trap the ball by putting the glove over the ball like hes catching a bug, but ya know, he is having fun! He did stop a few out of the 15 that came at him! He did good hitting. He swings a few times before hitting it, but he doesnt give up! The team was precious and did much better in a game then they do during our practices! I usually help coach, so it was nice to watch everyone today! Emmy cheered for Cole and was such a good girl for him!

Pool Time

Today a group of my friends that I used to teach with (plus Denise from my new school), got together at Kristys in-laws house to swim with all of the kiddos! We had such a good time! Cole, Allison Josh had so much fun together! He should sleep very good tonight! Emmy had 2 new friends she met that are 10 weeks old! However, Emmy will be eating pureed big mac's soon because they were the same size as her! All of the kids had others in their age group so it makes it so nice to all be together! I didnt get much sun time because my daughter is too nosy to sleep! She might miss something! But she was happy none the less! By the way, I know Emmys feathers are ridiculous, but they were perfect for a pool hat! Lol!

Play Time

Since I am on Summer Vacation, I get to do impromptu play dates! On Tuesday it was rainy and nasty and so at the last minute I decided to go play at Rainbow Recreation. I didnt want to sit at home on a rainy day so it was the perfect way to let Cole burn some energy! A few of my friends that live close by decided to join too with their kiddos so it worked out perfect! The kids had a blast! Emmy even sat in a baby swing for the first time!

Im Sitting!
With Emmy being the 2nd child, she is already feeling the effects at 5 months! I think I sat every free moment I wasnt working, sitting and "practicing" with Cole at this age on the floor. You know, practicing sitting up, playing with toys, stimulating his mind, grasping objects...blah blah blah! Well, poor Emmy gets put on the floor to play, while I change laundry, help Cole, make his lunch, etc! Now that school is out I have lots of time, so I have been playing and "practicing" with her on the floor. To my surprise, when I went to practice with her on sitting, she showed me happily that she already knows how! She sat so pretty and proud! Cole was so excited for her! He said "Im so proud at you that you are sitting Little Midget!" Thats what he calls her, unless like at Dans dr apt today when people ask he still says "Captain Princess Emmy." But at home its Little Midget! So, here are a few shots of her sitting pretty! After about 3 minutes she visits the blanket face down!

Nashville For Country Music Fest!

Holy hotness! On Thursday night we dropped the kiddos off (thanks so much gigi and papa) at Dans parents and heather, jason, dan and I headed off to Nashville. After many old school car games, and many pee breaks as usual for Jason, we arrived! It was too late to do anything that night, so we went to bed to get ready for a fun filled day 1! Thats where the hotness began! At fan fair, it is about 4 blocks of blocked off streets with vendors, country music and people everywhere. They have like 5 different stages where big named country music stars put on shows. They also have to convention centers where you can get autographs etc. Then on the riverfront is the main stage with the best musicians. At night for 4 nights they have a 6 band line up at LP field (where the titans play) that is a ticketed event. The days were so miserably hot! It was like 96 degrees with 86% humidity! I am not a sweater and I was DRENCHED! But we had a great time listening to bands like Craig Morgan, Rodney Atkins, Steve Azar, David Lee Murphy, (got his autograph) and many more. We only bought tickets to one nights event at LP. We saw Zac Brown, Rascal Flatts, Martina McBride, Eastin Corbin, Randy Howser and Billy Currington. It was a great show, minus my first panic attack in a while. I was overcome by our nose bleed seats. We sat to close to the rail at the very top of the stadium and I freaked! Oh well, I recovered before the show started! We had a fabulous time and learned all the do's and dont's for next time! We had lots of good laughs and made many new inside jokes despite the heat. On our way home we stopped in Metropolis Illinois, home of Superman. We wanted to take a picture f the giant superman for the boys. Well, we pulled into town square and hopped out to run up to get a picture and we did a double take! There were people walking around as monks, supermans, and lots of other crazy things. Apparently they had an "honorary swearing in ceremony" for supermans or something. I felt like I was in a bad horror film!
I was so excited to get home to my babies on Sunday! Three nights was enough to be away from them! I posted the pics above this post.

A Day At The Botanical Gardens
Today was so fun! Betsy, Denise and I took the kids to the gardens. We stayed ALL day! All of the kids cooperated and had the best time! The weather was perfect and so was the day. I joined the gardens this year because Cole enjoys the childrens garden so much!
