Cole enjoyed it and we did too! Cole and Isaak have the same teacher, but go on different days so they wre excited to see each others things in the same room!He is loving school and learning!

Cheese Heads Here We Come

Lasdt weekend my mom, Cole and I drove up to Madison, Wisconsin to visit my sister and her family! I hadnt seen her since July and my mom had not seen her since christmas. We had so much fun and laughed way too hard! Cole did not much care for the ride up and asked us about 60 times the first 45 minutes if we were to Wisconsin. Finally he said,"I fink (he cant say th)we need to take the short cut to Mooneys house." My mom and I laughed so hard. We finally told him we were in Wisconsin long before we were so he would quit asking us!
Once we were there we hung out on her patio and enjoyed the weather and each other!Maddy, Cole and Sofia are best friends and play until they cant play anymore! We went to farmers market/capitol, cooked out, watched football and hiked.....let me tell you about that. Once in the park we looked at the trails and decided on a path. The first quarter mile was flat around a lake. At one point cole got mad and bored of walking and said, "your in trouble mom and I am just gonna head back." It was hysterical! Well, then we made it to the woods. My brother in law Jeff asked if wanted to keep flat around the lake or do up the hill (mountain). We chose the hill becuase the kids wanted to climb. He told us the map said it was a 500 ft vertical climb to the top. Apparently we dont know what 500 ft. looks like! We agreed and headed in! Holy hell....after the first flight of stones we climbed I thought I was gonna die! My mom and I kept stopping and drinking water. Mom kept saying we could turn around if I wanted too.....which was code for , lets turn around. But I was determined. We kept going and going. 45 minutes later and lots of stops, and finally pains in my belly, we made it to the top. It was gorgeous. We headed down and walked all the way back to the park again. Needless to say, I will not be hiking 2 miles any more and especially not straight up!

Firemans Ball

So a few months ago Dan decided we were going to go to the Firemans Ball. Lots of guys from his crew were going so we thought it would be fun....minus dressing up! It is a fundraiser that provides money for Backstoppers. It was at the Four Season at Lumier Casino downtown. Well, a few weeks prior, the search was on for a dress to fit me 23 weeks pregnant! Good lord was that a task! i found one that was the least mumuish and went with it. Most of Dans crew was there and we had a great time! There was lots of yummy drinks I got to pass up, and great food I devoured! ha! I took a picture of me alone for those that keep harassing me for not posting my baby bump, mountain!

Emmy is 23 weeks!

So this is kind of old because tomorrow she will be 25 weeks! Oh well, better late than never! We went fro anpther ultrasound this month and she was so photogenic! As soon as they turned on the camera she turned her face and looked right at us! It was almost creepy! Then she began flips and putting her foot to her head and going nuts! I love the pic of the fingers! We are both doing great! I am feeling so big, but everyone tells me I am not for 5.5 months! I cant believe we have just over 3 months left! Time get her nursery going!
SHe is a total acrobat in my belly! Cole loves getting "karate chopped!"

This Child Loves Halloween

The year Cole turned 3 he fell in love with Halloween! Everythign about it! He loves monsters and zombies and the more blood and yuck decorations he can look at the better! Dan had to take him to Spirit Halloween a few times a week last year just to look at the creepy things that scare the crap out of me! he got into decorating the house last year as well. All year he plans what he wants to be. He and Dan decided this year to make a graveyard in the front. He is so excited about it! Today we had to decorate the house on the inside. He tells me where to put everything. It basically looks like Halloween threw up in our house! Oh well, its all about fun! No Martha Stewart halloween here!
ANyways, the day the halloween store opened we had to go! He looked slowly at everything and decided he wanted to be the phantom. We went back AGAIN a few days later and bought what he wanted. The workers loved watching him dance in front of the mirror with it on! Well, that night he wanted to sleep next to it. So here is the pic of him sleeping with the phantom costume....that also went with us for a haircut and preschool in his backpack!

Grandma Comes To Town

We were so excited that Grandma Felicia got to come see us! We had not seen her in 2 years! She now lives in Colorado so we dont get to see her on our Texas trips. She had gone to visit her family in the Dallas and Houston area, so she hopped on a flight to see us too! We had a great time and it was like we had seen her yesterday. I took a half day off work one day and we took Cole to the Magic House. We had so much fun! IT is so big now! Cole couldnt get enough of the pretend play! SHe also turned 50 while she was here so COle and I had a little bday party for her. All she her the whole time was "grandma, watch this, or grandma come here!" We wish we could see more of her!

Bertinos At The Cardinals Game

Last Saturday it was Bank of America Day at the ballpark. We went last year with dans mom for the first time and had a great time, so we are making it a traditioN! Employees of the bank get discounted tickets for this day and you get to meet 2 players and get autographs, then tour the field and dugout. COle was so excited for this year again. He got to meet Motte and Rasmus...who went on to hit a homerun that game! He was very excited to get a foam finger to wave around as well! He even got Fredbirds autograph...and proceeded to yell from our nose bleed seats "hi Fredbird" the rest of the game when he would see him on the field. He was also blowing kisses to the group of young girls doing a performance on the field, and when I asked who he was blowing kisses to he said, "all those girls...they like me." Lord help us!
