Good Report

Today we went for Dans quartlery visit of the oncologist, dermotologist and blood drawl. Everything went great! We are always "silently nervous" on these days! We have learned with our luck...to expect anything! Well, today the oncologist said "I wish I saw more lymphoma patients like you." His stage is so low still! So we are actually not going to be seeing him unless the dermatologist feels things are changing.
Next stop, dermotologist! Dr. Anadkat was also very encouraging! He too, said everything looks good and that Dan having lymphoma was not his biggest concern but the melanoma is more worrisome...but not right now...and hopefully never again! The melanoma is actually more aggressive than the lymphoma will be! BUT he still sees no sigh of the melanoma but told us what to watch for if it tries to come back.
We just hit the 4 year cancer free mark with the melanoma! yay!
So, we will just keep treating the lymphoma as we are and keep praying God uses this as a reminder of how precious life is....and nothing more!
Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers!
We will update ya again on this in 6 months!

5 Years Already

THis weekend marked the 5th anniversary of my dads passing! I cannot believe it has been that long. Some days it seems like yesterday, and other times it feels like an eternity. ALthough I have spend most of the weekend happy and thinking about all the great times we had, it will always be a regret that Cole did not get to experience his Poppy. I know my dad on so many days looks at Cole and laughs hysterically, because Cole will say things some times and it sounds just like my dad!
My dad was an amazing guy! You never knew if he was sad or worried. He only displayed a contageous happiness! The day my dad died is a day I will never forget, but it is a day that forever changed my outlook on life. I know now first hand that living each day is a blessing. There isnt much in life that can truly get me down, because thats a day you cant get back!

Happy Bday Ethan!

Kirk and Rebeccas oldest son Ethan tunred 5 this weekend. Cole and I got to go to their house for his bday party and had a blast! Cole enjoyed the sand table since we dont have one! He stayed there most of the time until it was time for the pinata! Kids and pinatats are hysterical! We decided after the candy falls out, they look like a bunch of baby chicks looking for feed! Happy bday Ethan!
Ethan will always be very special to me! The day my dad died, I was suppose to be meeting Rebecca for dinner to try and keep her busy and make Ethan finally come into the world! Ethan fianlly arrived the morning we burried my dad. I have always told her that Ethan is my dads angel!

Easter

On Easter, we had our family come over to celebrate with us! I made some bbq and since it was another rainey weekend, we were stuck indoors. We played rock band and wii games for entertainment! Dans Dad was our entertainment during wii boxing because my mom and mother in law decided it looked like the cowardly lion from Wizard of Oz when he would box in the air. Rockband was a blast. We are getting pretty good! Cole had a great time hunting eggs in his pajamas that were major high waters! It was another fun Easter, although we really miss having my sister and her family here to celebrate with us!

Purina as He Grows!

In the next post, I tell you how we have taken Cole to Purina Farms each year. I tried to dig up a few pics to show how big hes getting! But he still loves going!Ok..I could only dig up last years visit quickly..the other year is on a backup drive!

A Day At The Farm

I was off from work on Good Friday, so Dans parents and I took Cole to Purina Farms for Easter Village! We love it and have been taking them there each Easter. You get to pet all the baby spring animals! Of course Cole loves the dogs teh best. He had so much fun watching the dog show! While we were petting the pigs, there was a rooster in with them. Well, the pig got after the rooster and he jumped right up in Coles face onteh bench! He thought it was great! IT was a yucky rainey day, but we had a great time!

Soccer Is STill GOing well!

Well, we have had another practice and it still was fun! Whew...I hope I dont speak too soon to say, I think he just might like it! THis practice was even in the rain! I thought that would just add to the level of anxiety, but he liked it even better! What could be more fun than playing soccer while running through puddles with Isaak!THis practice they learned to play goalie and hand pass. He had a blast!

My mom always says I spend more time at birthday parties and baby showers than anyone shes ever known! I feel that shes right..but always enjoy them! Last weekend was Logans bday. (Svetlanas boy) They had it at pump it up! We had a blast! I cannot believe these kids are already turning 4! Time has gone too fast! Here are a few pics of the party! Thanks Logan for inviting us!

I Find Him Everywhere

After Coles disappearing act a few months back when I couldnt find him anywhere he should have been sleeping, then went into shock, he now sleeps all over the place. I will put him down, then be watchign tv and hear his door open. When I go to bed and check on him, he wont be in his bed. I found him under his bed the other night. I put him back in his bed and he told me, "I really dont want to go to bed mom." I told him it was night time and he could play leapster or read and he told me "I already did that." Which he did because his bed was full of books. I went back in about 20minutes later to find him asleep on the floor with books! He cracks me up!
