We Made It Through Soccer!

Oh dear lord....I was sooo worked up about his first soccer practice! If you remember, T ball didnt go so well last summer! He didn't like it, didn't want to learn it, cried through team pictures, I cried through each practice and wanted to quit myself! ha! So, Heather said Isaak wanted to do soccer, so I decided we would give it a try. Even last week when we signed them up, cole kept saying, "no thanks, I dont want to play soccer." So, I figured it would be the same struggle...but I did ask how many classes we would have to suffer through to get our money back, and the answer is 2!
Yesterday Dan bought him shin guards and a ball. Dan worked with him last night and he seemed excited...but of course, Dan had to work today so it was just me! And apparently, cole gets a complex with me around and becomes a quitter...just ask dan...he and dan took a basketball course and the day i came the teacher even said, "he doesnt do this when you arent here."
Well, with a little bit of pre soccer practice brining...it went great! I told him if he listened well, and tried real hard, McDonals and some Wii play were in his future. Whew...he actually laughed and had a lot of fun...and did good! He has the whole "only child syndrome" I think, plus has never been to preschool!
So, looks like we might make it to week 2! I will keep ya posted!

Picnic Time

Last week before school started back for me, I decided to take Cole for a picnic at Lone Elk Part in Fenton. I asked Heather if she and the kiddos wanted to join us. We packed all teh food and kids and headed to the park. Inside of Lone Elk Park is also the Wild Bird Sanctuary. The kids enjoyed the owls, eagles, snakes birds. Mostly, they enjoyed the picnic park where they ran free and played in old winter leaves that had fallen. We had a great time! They even at one point asked me to "come, here, theres a cat." As I approached the tree trunk, I discovered a "freshly dead" racoon! Yuck! While Cole and Isaak were playing I took some pretty cute pics of them! Then off we went to drive through the elk and bison part of the park. Tessa hung on there the whole time! It was such a nice relaxing day!

Lots of Rock Band

\Eric singing, me on drums!

Dan, Monica and Eric rockin out!

Cole trying to join in with his drums too!

Family of rockers!

While they were in town, we decided to make a band! ha! Well, since MOnica is the only one with any musical ability that we know of, she got to sing most of the time! Although as the night went on each night, we all began to "master" drums, guitar and singing! We had so much fun though! Cheap but fun entertainment! We were all pretty excited when we finally talked Eric into singing! I think he and I are equally as bad!Good times!

Me and Monica!
Since the Stocks were in town, we decided we had fun last year at the dogtown parade, though we were frozen and almost too cold for anything but hot chocolate...why not make it a tradition! So we packed up the kids on a thankfully beautiful day, picked up my mom and headed to dogtown for the traditional Irish parade. We met up also with a few of Dans friends from work as well. We got a good spot for the kids and waited for the beads to fly! As usual, bacause our kids are so damn cute (biased?) they got lots of beads and we had a blast!

Most of you know Monica is my friend from elementary school back in Texas. Although I have been here for as many years as I lived in Texas (tear)we have remained great friends, never missing a beat when we see each other. If you were at our wedding then you saw her in it! SInce we have been married, we have tried to see each other twice a year. This last year it has been only once...and we have vowed to not let that happen! We usually switch off who travels where, or we meet in Vegas. This year they were itching to get out ot town even though it was technically our turn to travel, so they came to us with the kiddos too! Two years ago when they were here we all had a blast at the city museum, and this year the kiddos wanted to do it again....so we did. We had just as many laughs as last time too! I think I also have a picture of the kids there from that time as well! Go figure!

Allie and Cole

Today Denise that I work with had a doctors apt. (she is going through what I am) so Allie got to come and play with us! It is so funny to have a girl over! ha! Although, much like Coles cousins, shes a pirate playing, batman watching, Scooby Doo lover as well! They had so much fun! They played pirates, we made cookies (which they ate most of the dough) and played in the bounce house! They were like WWF wrestlers out there! They were slinging each other like rag dolls! It wasw a lot of fun! Thanks for coming over Allie!

Happy 4th Bday Isaak!

Muskateers!

Proud Bowler!

Cole, Isaak and Josh!

I cannot believe its already been 4 years since Coles best friend was born! I will never forget the excitement Heather and I had both being pregnant and how happy I was she had to go through it first! Isaaks life started out rough with many weeks at childrens, but you wouldnt know it now!
YEsterday we got to celebrate his bday at Brunswick Bowling! The kids had a ball running, jumping, and sometimes bowling! Then with the high winds the power went out! That made for a warm experience! No more bowling...but pizza, presents and some duck duck goose!
Happy Bday Buddy!
