THe day we went back to school after cycle break, Dan said she found Coles pajamas he took off that morning and carried them around all day. She wrapped them around her head, carried them, snuggle them and even took them down the slide. Too sweet!
Our first few snows Emmy didnt know how to walk so we never took her out. On the 11th, of Feb we had a good snow and Emmy was able to come out! By the time you get her all bundles up Im dying from all the layers I have on! It taskes 30 minutes to bundle us all up and only play for 30 before we freeze! As always, Cole had a ball with Dan and Hank and I pulled Emmy on Coles old inflatable sled!I had even bet at work on that date to be our first snow day and won 36.00!
THis New Years is was our most laid back yet! Emmy was sick and we had gotten no sleep from the night before, so we cancelled out plans for people coming over and had a quiet night at home. I was able to snap a few pics of her smiling before putting her to bed! Last year we came home from the hospital on a snowy New Years Eve, and this year we were just as tired! lol!
I am skipping a few posts and will go back later. Emmy is happiest when Cole is playing with her. Dan says when we are gone during the day, Emmy walks around holding his picture frame kissing it and saying "CoCo." At night when he plays with her she gets so excited! He flies her around the house on her car and plays hide and seek with her. This is a video from the other night when Emmy was on the "roller coaster."
Where does time go? It seems like yesterday that I woke up at 3am to time contractions! Dan saying even after I had timed contractions for hours, with contractions at 4 minutes apart, "I dont think shes coming today." (2 weeks early)Ha, if only he could have felt what I did! I knew she was! After a very quick and very painful labor (because I waited to go to the hospital until I was dialted to 6.6 and 3 minbutes apart)I delivered sweet baby Emmy Lynn in the most peaceful delivery I could have imagined! Cole came in just a few minutes later and said "Hi Captain Princess Emmy, I am Cole, this is your mommy, daddy, gigi, papa, Aunt Stace and Nainee." It was probably the sweetest thing I had ever witnessed!
Now a year later I am just as blessed to have her. She is spunky, witty, funny, sweet, sensitive and so much more. She is walking, saying lots of words and loves to make you laugh!
On her first bday she woke with 101 fever so off to the dr. we went. This was her first fever. They said she had an ear infection and a cold. We were just having out immediate d=family over to celebrate so it wasnt a major deal other than the fact that she felt like crap! My sister was very lucky to get lots of cuddle time that day. I picked a minnie mouse theme for her bday so we could rewear an outfit I had made for Disney. I made her cute little party hats and cupcakes. SHe enjoyed pizza and of course her first cake! She was very dainty while sticking one finger in at at time! It was fun to watch! Cant wait for her party in a few weeks!
On the 27th Mindy and the family came to celebrate Christmas and be hre for Emmys first birthday. The kids had a blast as usual. Cole idolizes Mammy and Phia and I swear I dont hear from him the whole time they are here! Unfortunatley Emmy was sick and was not herself. She pretty much stuck to me like glue and had a low grade fever. We did take the kids to the hotel to swim and pretty much just stayed here and played games, talked and laughed! My kind of Christmas!
On Christmas eve we had Dans family over for dinner. My mom had to work so she didnt drive all the way out. We enjoyed talking and Cole talked me into opening Grandma Felicias presents she had sent. We made it an early night so we could feed the reindeer and get ready for Santa. We know in Cole fashion, it would take 3 hours to finally get him to sleep. Once he did, Dan and I had out tradtional Christmas eve together of wine, Christmas vacation and getting ready for Christmas Morning!
We had a wonderful Christmas! Very low key that daay! Cole woke up at 4am bawling his eyes out because he wanted it to be time to wake up. So we help him off from going into the living room unitl 7am on the dot. NO HE DID NOT SLEEP ONE MINUTE OF THOSE 3 HOURS! We had to wake Emmy up. Cole as usual ran into the living room with his high pitched excited voice rambling all of the things he could see at first glance. Emmy sat on my lap for a few minutes looking at Cole as if he were crazy. Then she began to see things she liked and took off! Once we finished at our house we headed to Dans parents for the day with my mom as well. The kids had a wonderful spoiled Christmas!
