Last T ball game!

Alien batting helmet!

This seems like less effort!

Way more comfortable.

OUr medals!

Finally T ball is over! I say that because it is a lot of work to play 45 minutes of "keep your child contained!" FOr 6 weeks we have gone and learned to step and throw, bat, and run the bases. I am pretty sure at thier last game today, noone still knew to run to first base first, and not second, or to not retrieve the ball they just hit! Most of the 3 years old enjoyed about 10 minutes of practice each week, then went on to pick daisies or pull their shirt over their head! (see earlier blog) Today was no exception. Cole decided he would just lay down and wait for a ball to come his way, then run like hell to get it! It was comical! I wish I could have sat on the bench and watched and it wouldnt have been so tiring!

Too Sick to Play

Cole on Dans shoulder

Dominic blowing the candles

Todd having the most fun!

Race car time!

Alvi ready for me to go!
On Saturday was Coles cousin Dominic bday party at Swing Around Fun Town. Cole felt a little warm during the day, and said he was tired. We told him if he felt ok when he woke up he could probably go to Dominics party still. So he woke up very intent on going to the party and riding the race cars and boats! He wil typically pass on something if he isnt feeling good. However, we went to the party, and he played right away in the climbing thing and was all excited! Then it was pizza and cake time. He laid his head down and wimpered he didnt feel good, but he wanted to ride the race cars then go home. Well, the bumper boats were first. He cracked a few smiles. Then the race cars. He laid his head on Dans shouldeer while waiting in line. I was waiting in line with his other cousin Alvi, so she could ride with me. During the race cars he began to cry. We got off and went and said goodbyes. We didnt get one mile down the road and he puked everywhere! Poor thing was so sad about it!IT was a long smelly ride home from Fenton! I did get some good pics of Dominic enjoying himself with his dad, and Alvi with me. Not so much Cole!

Owie Wow-wow!

Poor cole had the private part injured yesterday! Thats right...his weenie! Poor baby! He was finished going potty and he leans over to flush while hes standing. When he pulled his hand away.....yep...it hit the lid and slammed down right on his weenie! I heard the toilet seat slam, then a huge blood curdling cry so i ran in and picked him up and he was just bawling! I looked down at it and it began to change colors! Blue, red, purple! No blood thank god! He wouldnt wear any clothes for an hour! When dans parents came over for dinner he ran to them and had to show his weenie! NICE! Not to mention, in the mean time, a fundraiser seller girl knocked on the door. So I sat on the front porch step to look at it, and turn around and theres cole in the doorway with a purple weenie! I politely called Dan to remove cole from the doorway instead of giving a peep show to a litle girtl and her dad!Never a dull moment in our house! I am not posting pics for fear of being arrested! ha!

Happy Birthday Kristy

Kristy is turning 30 today! She couldnt exactly "paint the town" since she is having a baby in 5 days, so Dan, Betsy and I joined Karl and Kristy at Shogun Hibatchi Rest. and then the funny bone! We had a great time! Really is there a better food on earth than home made fried rice and filet, chicken and shrimp! So glad I got to celebrate with them! The best part of dinner was when Karl asked the waiter if they could so "something special" for her bday and they brought out the orange with a candle in it then told Karl, "that will be 2.50" Hysterical!
The Funny Bone was great as always! I love laughing! Kristy of course was a show stopper with the snorting!
Cant wait to meet Bradyn in 5 days!

Poison or Bust!

You might be thinking, wow, Brooke really needs to move on from Poison huh? Well, sorry...no such luck! I mean, what better way to spend your bday then at a concert with your favorite band? My friend Tracy came through for me again this year with the VIP treatment....which led for not such a VIP hangover! My Poison gang and I (Heather, Jason, Dan)enjoyed wine and good music...and like last year, I over indulged in the wine. I guess I dont feel so bad since I only really let loose like once a year to become everyones entertainment! I am proud to say the other 364 days a year I am very responsible for myself and everyone else!
Anyways, we hada great time dancing and singing! Dan and Jason bought HEather and I pink Poison shirts, and are wearing them in one of the pics! It was a blast, and now its back to reality until next summers tour!

My Birthday

Can you beleive another year has gone by? Yep, Im 31 now. GROSS! That means Im "into" my 30's. I decided to bring in 31 by cutting my hair off again. I figure if my waist isnt changin then my hair could! I had a great bday! I am blessed to have great friends and family that called, emailed, texted and sent cards! Its always nice to feel so loved! Heather and I enjoyed manicures (very ugly color) and pedicures together saturday morning, then dinner with the Bertinos saturday night.
On Sunday we had lunch, shopped a little then it was off to poison....AGAIN!!!!Thats another blog!

And Another Baby

No, Im not lying! Cole and I met Bree and baby Anna over at Svetlanas house to meet new baby Tyler. Cole had so much fun playing with Logan (the big brother). They played great together. They enjoyed chasing monsters and playing in a rock band with Logans dad Pete. I enjoyed holding Tyler and meeting him for the first time. It was great visiting with Bree and Svetlana, and I cannot believe how fast Anna has grown since I saw her last! TIme flies!

Fountain Fun

After work tonight, Cole and I met Heather, Isaak and Tessa for a quick meal and play in the park! We are having wonderfully unseasonably cool weather (mid 80's) so we really want to enjoy it! THe park we have gone to for the past year now has a little spray fountain area. I did not know it was working, and Cole and Isaak found it quickly! Needless to say, they were wearing some pretty wet clothes and didnt mind a bit! The boys had a great time "playing scarecrow!" They are such boys!

Kristys Baby Shower

On Sunday Christine and I threw Kristy a baby shower for Bradyns arrival! It was the 10 of us that typically get together for girls dinners and things. We had a great time just talking and catching up. Three of the girls are pregnant (one due today,1 in two weeks)so we pretty much talked "delivery" and probbaly scared the 3 that dont have kids yet to death! None the less it was a lot fun and we are anxiously awaiting Mason and Bradyns arrival!

More T Ball

SO last week, T ball was a disaster. I had to meet Dan and Cole at practice, and it was picture day and Dans parents were coming to watch. Lots riding on this practice! ha! Well, Cole must have known, because he turned into a child that I have never seen! He was defiant, wouldnt go with the other children, refused to take a team picture, cried through most of practice. In fact, i was too, just thank god it was a sunny day so my glasses hid it! I am an emotional mom when Cole is having a hard time and I doint know why. Dan wanted to take him home, but I disagreed and said he could either sit and watch and cry, or play, but giving into him and taking him home wasnt an option. So we mustered thorugh it!
Well, I was totally not excited to go back this week becuase I was so scared we were going to have "round 2" of T ball terror! So all the way to the sitters that morning I was telling Cole how cool the coach was going to think his signed hat was. And if he could listen to the coach and be a good boy, we could rent a scooby doo! Yes, I do bribe when times get tough! So, I was coles cheerleader all through practice! It was exhausting! He did a great job and they even played thier first game! I always thought it was so cliche to say, "he picked dandelions in the outfield." But Cole and Isaak infact, brought Heather and I Dandelions. While waiting their turn to pitch, they played make each other laugh. And when I looked over at cole in the batting order, he had his shirt over his head! Hysterical! But, it was no T Ball terror this week!

Happy Birthday To You

Last weekend was very busy with our Cardinals game, and Papa and Nainees birthdays! On Sunday for Papas (Dans dad) birthday, Dan, Dave (Staceys fiance) and Papa went and played golf, then came and met us girls Me, Mom, Judy, Stace and her soon to be stepdaughters (Brenna and Madeline) and of course Cole at the Broadway Oyster Bar (Me, Mom and Mickeys favorite spot for oysters). It was "supposed" to be crazy hot, but it turned out to be a gorgeous patio day! Once the guys got there, Me, Mom and Mickey got to dive into the oysters! We had a great day eating cajun food and being with my mom and Dans family. My mom was so excited to see her card. With Cole being 3, he has to tell everyone their presents as they negin opening, and pretty much has to pick them out at the store. Right now hes really into picking out peoples cards! So at Walgreens when I was trying to pick one for my mom, Cole said, "Here mom, this is for Nainnee. Its Nemo." I said, "Oh thats great, but it says "3". He said i know, 3. Lets get Nemo." So we did. And I told mom In the card that I hoped she felt 3 again! She opened the card and laughed hysterically! She said it is her favorite card she ever got! Dans dad was also equally excited to see the "paper weight" Cole had made by painting a rock up in Minnesota in June that he picked on Pebble Beach. He has carried it around since June and was very excited to give it!

Coles First Cardinals Game

We had never taken Cole to a Cardinals game because we were aftraid until this point, he wouldn't sit long enough to watch the game. This year, when Dans mom had Bank of America Tickets again, we decided to go. It was so much fun. The game wasn't until 6:15, but if you got down there at 2:15, you could get autographs and pictures with 2 players, tour the dugout and then get to take pics of all the players. So, we decided that would be fun, but a little nervous going down 4 hours before the game in 98 degree heat, then sitting through 9 innings with a 3 year wihout a nap! But we tried, and it was awesome! Cole got to get his new hat Papa got him signed by 2 players, as well as his baseball and get pics with them...and even better, Skip Schoemaker was pretty easy on the eyes! ha! Cole was so excited to shopw everyone his hat autographed! Then we toured the dug out. It was fun. Cole thought it was more fun to throw rocks by the field. Then all the players came out and we got to take pics. Finally at 6:15 the game began. We were in the shade and there was a great breeze. Cole wanted to try some cotton candy...I told him he would not like it....and i was right....my texture boy couldnt handle it! ha! Dan was concerned because I had told Cole if a Cardinal hit a home run there would be fireworks. Luckily, in the 6th inning, Ludwig hit one and he got to see some fireworks! It was a wonderful afternoon spent with Me, Dan, Cole, Gigi and Papa.
