Cole and I had no idea this morning that it was snowing. As every morning, he comes in my room and wakes me up, climbs in and we talk and play for about 10 minutes before making my bed and opening the blinds. Well, we were so surprised to open the blinds and see it snowing! Of course, "Can we play in it?" was his first question. So fater breakfast and a game of connect for, we bundled up, me in dans clothes since he was at work and I fit in nothing! We took Hank in the back yard and played for about 45 minutes. He through snowballs at me and loved it because I cant wobble fast enough to get away! THen he discovered eating the snow would be fun too! Finally I was freezing so I told him he could play on the deck. He did that for about 15 more minutes before calling it quits!

14 days!
Today was yes.....another dr appointment! Im telling you, my car goes on autopilot now! Today Emmy did not want to cooperate yet again after an hour on the NST! Her heart rate would increase, but not high enough to "pass." So after an hour and one major contraction I couldn't talk through, we had to do a biophysical ultrasound. This is where they watch her and she has to "pass" certain criteria. She had to breathe on her own, which she did for a long time, make 2 gross motor movements, and 4 fine motor movements, check fluids (am I a car?) and something else I cant remember. We also checked her girl parts and man are they swollen! ha! I am still dilated to a 1. I think I will make it to my last apt next week god willing! They are supposed to call before then to schedule my induction date!
Cole is having a good week and getting very excited. He keeps saying today "he is gonna hold her as much as he wants and teach Hank to be gentle."

PetsMart
Today I told Cole I needed him to clear off his bed (50 stuffed animals) so I could change his sheets. Once the animals were on the floor he asked if I could play the "petsmart game" with him. THis consists of getting the money jar out and taking turns being the customer to buy the pets. He says, "welcome to petsmart, what animal can I help you with today?" Its too cute! We played for an hour this morning, then when Dan got home from hunting, he got to play for another 45 minutes. This time Hank (our beast dog) decided to join in the fun. We kept saying, Hank was free to take!

Room Is Complete...just missing the main detail!
Yesterday we finally got Emmys room completed! Dan hung up her new pink curtains (thanks min) and her shelves. We have one bare wall over the changing table because I want to use some newborn pics to put on canvases tohang there. I still need just a few details, but over all it is ready! Well, after Dan get ALL of his hunting stuff out of her closet and off of her floor, which he says will happen after his last hunt on Tuesday. Now we are just waiting on Captain Princess to arrive...though we really want her to wait until Next SUnday or later...emmy if you are listening, please wait!
At Fridays appointment she was 6.11. SHe is on track to weigh the same as cole if she gains a half pound a week. I lost a pound! whew hew! I have gained 26 to this point now. I just have no appetite any longer. The doctor made it clear that Emmy could arrive any day and that having my bags packed would be ideal...oops, forgot that minor detail!

Fancy Party
Dans Mom, sister and family and ELlen.
The site of the Sculpture Park
My sister and mother in law.
ME and my sister in law
Egyptian Men
On Friday night, Dans cousin Bob had a Dans cousin Ellens 50th bday party! IT was insanely extravagant! His company is building a building in Clatyton that has not yet been completed, but he renovated one floor to have for the party. It was "ancient" egyptian themed. There were belly dancers, shirtless egyptian dressed men, insanely good food and lots of good entertainment. THere was no detail left out. Dan was on duty so he could not go, so I squeezed in to a cocatail dress (ha ha I know)and went with his sister and parents. I couldnt do much dancing or anything for that matter, but it was so fun to see, and catch up with lots of dans family who I hadnt seent his past 9 months! I heard a lot of "whoa, shes gonna pop!" comments as I passed by men!
The neatest part of the night was when Bob presented ELlen with her gifts. Ellen has some unresolved medical issues that have required a lot of attention and medical thought and discussion, so he used this to honor her. He unveiled what will be the new Ellen C CLark sculpture park right across from SLU hospital downtown, as well as Ellens Hope House at Washington University. This will be built by the worlds top leading sculptor Mia (sp) Lin. She spoke to Ellen over the monitors they had set up that night of the party. It will be a refuge type house for patients or families who need a place to stay when having medical treatments and testing done at Washington University.

Party Day
Today was Coles Christmas party at school. Since I am off work right now, I was so excited to get to participate! However, since I have been off this week, he is crying when I drop him off for school which is taking its toll on me. Apparently today he cried the whole time until I got there! SO he looks a mess with puffy eyes! Anyways, the party was mad chaos and I left with high blood pressure, loss of vision and a migraine..but atleast i was there right?

Santas Magical Kingdom
Last night some friends and I took our kiddos to Santas Magical Kingdom! It is a vomit fest of lights, but so entertaining! We decided to take a wagon ride instead of the drive thru. It was cold but we bundled all up and had a blast! We have been going thre for 15 years, and made several comments that some of the props were older than that! Oh well, its all for the kids!

First Musical Debut!
SO today Coles preschool put on their christmas musical! We told the teacher a long time ago that he would probably be to embarrased to do it. However, over the last few weeks he has been singing the songs non stop at home! So we figured maybe he will! Well, he was fine sitting in the chapel, but when the teachers called them up, the tears began. "I dont want to mom!" After about 5 long minutes of me sitting on the stage with him, he finally became ok with it. I had told him to sit for just a second so I could go get my camera and when I got to the pew Dans mom said "here, give him a 20 and tell him he can buy a toy if he will do it!" So when I went back up I gave it to him and he put it in his pocket and sang! They did let me sit right in front to help him be ok! He and his best buddy isaak sat next to each other and did so good! I was so proud! The best was afterwards he asked dan,"Here dad, you can have this money to buy duck stuff." It melted my heart. Dan refused, so he told gigi she could have it back!

Hi Santa
Last year we saw 4 Santas. With me being a little slow this year, we saw Santa one time! Dans firehouse had thier annual family christmas part friday night. Its a nice time for all of the families to get together from all of the crews. Santa also made an apearance. Let me just tell you, Cole has NEVER been afraid of Santa. HE took off running and waving his hands at him! Then jumped right up on his lap and gave him the ten minute run down of all the gifts he wanted. It makes me cry every year!
